NOTICE TO CUSTOMERS – GATES OPENING DURING NOVEL CORONAVIRUS EMERGENCY

NOTICE TO CUSTOMERS – GATES OPENING DURING NOVEL CORONAVIRUS EMERGENCY

Dear Valued Customers,

Due to the recent outbreak of Novel Coronavirus (2019-nCov) the government of
Papua New Guinea through the National Department of Health (NDoH), the Ministry for
Immigration and Border Security, the National Department of Transport and other
governmental agencies, has requested, amongst others, mandatory health screening of all inbound
vessels.
In order to make sure of safe, secure and timely delivery of cargo and to fully utilize berths
and equipment, following procedure is now applicable in both MITL and SPICTL:
• Together with the NOA submission, Shipping Lines have to provide an estimated time
of end of quarantine period for all inbound international vessels, not only those
arriving or transiting from China;
• Terminals will open gates for delivery of export cargo 5 days prior estimated time of
end of quarantine period;
• Cutoff for delivery of export cargo is 24 hrs prior estimated time of end of quarantine
period.

All other rules and procedures currently applicable remain in place.

Kind Regards,
