Month: April 2020

Dear Valued Customer,

Motukea International Terminal (MIT) and South Pacific International Terminal (SPICT)
are carefully monitoring and complying with all COVID-19 related rules and regulations
mandated by PNG National and Provincial authorities under the State of Emergency.

MIT and SPICT are not part of the vessel clearing procedure. The decision on
quarantine requirements for international vessels is not within the scope of MIT and SPICT
and any delay in ships berthing and eventual omissions is not attributable to the terminals.

MIT and SPICT attend and work every vessel that is cleared by the authorities and
allowed to berth in our facilities, always safeguarding the utmost level of safety and security
at the terminals.

Finally, MIT and SPICT have not increased tariffs since the start of operations in 2018
and will not increase any tariff item during the COVID-19 emergency that is affecting the
people of Papua New Guinea.

Kind Regards,
ICTSI South Pacific Management
